EMOTIA Escape Puzzles and Chases

The official feature list puts Puzzle-solving & Teamwork and Intense Chases on the same card — because in EMOTIA Escape they are the same moment: you solve a device mini-game while an Emovil circles it. This guide covers both halves with the mechanics the game actually documents.

Puzzles

The device mini-games, named and explained

Every floor hides purple devices, visible on the top-right mini-map. Each device opens one of these mini-games; themed floors remix them slightly, so learn the patterns.

Chases

What starts a chase, and how it ends

The chase half of the game follows from one documented behavior pattern.

Emovils tend to hover around the purple devices and can attack you mid-mini-game — that is the trigger: walk up to a device and you are walking into its patrol.

Once spotted, an Emovil chases and attacks; hits deal damage, and at 0 HP you are defeated unless you spend a Revive Ticket. Your Stamina bar (top-left UI) drains fast — GameZebo calls it out as the resource that decides whether a chase ends with you at the Exit Zone or on the floor.

The counterplay ladder, cheapest first: route knowledge (use the mini-map to pick device approaches with escape lanes), an Energy Potion at 30 Emotes for the stamina pool, a Mini Heal Potion at 35 Emotes before a hard floor, and the 180-Emote Revive Ticket as the last line.

Teamwork

A role plan for five players

The official description says 'you cannot do this alone' — the Exit Zone rule is where that matters most.

  • Split the devices. The mini-map shows them all; two pairs of players clear devices in parallel while one roams as the runner.
  • Cover the Exit Zone early. early floors only require one player inside the Exit Zone — but head there anyway in case teammates get attacked
  • Call your interrupts. Emovils hover at devices — whoever gets attacked mid-mini-game should call it so a teammate can pull the chase away.
  • Watch the timer together. if nobody reaches the Exit Zone before the timer ends, everyone is defeated and the run returns to the lobby
Checklist

Before you queue: a 60-second prep list

Everything here uses documented prices from the in-game shop.

Loadout

  • Emotes for at least one Energy Potion (30) — chase floors burn stamina.
  • A Mini Heal Potion (35) if the floor is themed or Emovil-exclusive.
  • A Revive Ticket (180) once you push past floor 10, where a balanced team's passive skills start to matter.

Knowledge

  • Re-read the six mini-game patterns above — themed floors remix them.
  • Agree the Exit Zone rule with your party: nobody leaves the run to the timer alone.
  • Skim the Emovil behavior notes so an interrupt is a plan, not a surprise.
